She first came to Perth for the Conscious Living Expo in 1997 and since then demand for her work sees her flying in every two months to provide Tomatis Method assessments for Perth parents and kids.
French-born Sydney psychologist Francoise Nicoloff has a love affair with Perth as our city constantly calls her back to help locals with conditions such as ADHD, dyslexia, aspergers syndrome, auditory processing disorder, speech delay and autism spectrum conditions.
Such a lively life also has its foodie angle with her partner James being the owner of Sydney’s acclaimed Paris Cake Shop which has been providing cakes, pastries and catering to eastern suburbs patrons for 50 years.
So how does the Tomatis Method help children, I asked Francoise.
“The Tomatis Method helps children by repatterning the connections between the ear, the brain and the body, it creates dynamic change between perception, processing, learning and emotions,” she replied over lunch in East Perth, where she has her studio clinic seeing locals overlooking Claisebrook Cove.
“Perth is such a beautiful city and it’s wonderful that I’m able to get over here every two months. People are really genuine here and definitely more relaxed than in Sydney!” she laughs.
